While deeply grounded in tradition, Villa Milano has a strong focus on reinterpreting classic styles with a contemporary twist, exploring new forms and incorporating unusual materials for traditional jewelry.

Villa Milano, a historic Milanese jewelry house, was founded in Milan in 1876. Today, it is led by Alice Villa, the fifth generation of the family and current creative director.

Villa Milano designs are characterized by clean, elegant lines and a distinctive sense of balance. Across the various collections, there is a recognizable common thread—a meticulous attention to detail and an extraordinary level of craftsmanship.

Among the selected pieces in Louisa Guinness Gallery, are three rings from the Micromosaic Collection, characterised by the use of pavé settings. The name highlights the tightly arranged gemstones and the artisanal technique of burnishing the metal between the stones, creating the illusion that the gems are suspended, with no metal visible between them. The collection draws inspiration from the traditional Italian pavements, such as the iconic cobblestones of Milan's historic streets, where small, round stones are laid side by side and slightly embedded. Some pieces are further distinguished by the iconic Eyelash hand-engraved bezel around the central stone, which creates a soft, almost ethereal transition between the pavé and the central gem.

Pieces from Villa Milano's Lumen Collection are characterized by colorful aluminum. The stackable Lumen Band Rings offer a playful reinterpretation of the classic diamond eternity band.

The Materic Collection is defined by its use of unconventional materials such as titanium, carbon, Damascus steel, and copper. In this collection, the focus is always on the material itself, which is celebrated in its raw, sometimes rugged form. The designs are often minimal and clean, evoking a masculine energy or drawing inspiration from old signet rings. In some pieces, the central stone blends seamlessly with the color of the setting, while in others it creates a striking contrast.

Finally, from the Milano Collection, you will find a bracelet and chain necklace inspired by Milan’s Duomo and the Gothic quatrefoil windows that define that era’s architecture. The collection juxtaposes burnished silver with polished yellow gold, playing with light and shadow. The bracelet is designed as an "armor" for today’s modern wearer—comfortable yet protective—contrasting dark tones and bold shapes with the sparkle of diamonds.
