One of Turnbull’s last projects before his death in 2012, ‘Metamorphosis’ is based on his large series of the same name from the 1980’s. Created through digitally scanning and reducing the original work, the pendant captures the intrinsic qualities of Turnbull’s opus. Resisting classification it speaks his timeless visual language, both as a pendant and as a small sculpture, resting on its custom stand.
