Skulls hold a special place in Tim Noble and Sue Webster’s jewellery story. When Louisa Guinness first met Sue Webster, she was wearing a skull ring that Tim had made her as a copy of one his mother had made him. Originally inspired by the ring, the idea was to make editions in its image. However, Webster decided the ring was a sacred object and the concept was translated into the cufflinks series, designed in 2004.
