Annie Morris creates paintings, sculptures, and collages in her studio in North London. A graduate of Central Saint Martins, École des Beaux Arts and the Slade, Annie first became well known after illustrating Sophie Dahl’s love-story, The Man with the Dancing Eyes in 2003. In 2006, Christopher Bailey commissioned Annie to create a dress made out of individually painted wooden clothes-peg for Burberry. She has exhibited internationally, most recently at Winston Wachter in New York with her show Hope From A Thin Line. She frequently collaborates with her husband Idris Khan.
Her influences are as vast and varied as the mediums she uses but cites the Outsiders artists and Louise Bourgeois as major influences. Her work explores life at home, loss and memory.
